Honorary President of the Iberoamerican Community for Knowledge Systems and President of the World Capital Institute, organizer of the World Summit of Knowledge Cities and the MAKCi Awards.
He has been guest editor for 8 years now of the Journal of Knowledge Management, and is co-editor of the International Journal of Knowledge Based Development and member of the editorial board of other journals. Founding member of the New Club of Paris, IADE Advisor for the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Intellectual Capital Doctorate from the University of Paris-Sud and board member of the ADIAT. Since 2002, he is faculty professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, within the Department of Information Systems and at the Center of Knowledge Systems. As a teacher, his main subjects revolve around Knowledge Management, Information Technology and E-Business. As a consultant, he has participated in many projects with companies such as VW, CEMEX, PEMEX, CFE, Liverpool, AHMSA and Mabe, among others. In these projects, his role has been the expert in the use of Information Technology to support processes of Knowledge Management. Today belongs to the CEMEX-Research Chair where he coordinated the ITESM project on Virtual Communities of Innovative Collaboration. In regards to continuous education he has been a facilitator for the past seven years, of the workshop and Diploma in Knowledge Management. He has also lectured and/or presented papers in several cities in Mexico and some from abroad such as Bogota, Clermont-Ferrand, Alicante, Madrid, Panama, Managua.
