Since 1998, the Center for Knowledge Systems from the Monterrey Campus offers the Specialty Program in Knowledge Management for the Masters of Information Technology (MATI), which also structures an elective block for the MBA (MA ) of the Tecnológico de Monterrey..

This program assumes the self-learning as a paradigm of values and educational processes. This opens up three design criteria: the student as a driver of his own learning process, the significance of an educational experience for life and work, and the multiplication of learning options and resources.
Under the concept of self-management, each student takes responsibility for its own process, actively participating in determining the objectives, methods and learning assessment. With this, each student is urged to clarify to him and to the group, what and how you want to learn in the field and contribute to the group, and what evidence must provide it, and reformulating the traditional teacher-student educational contract.

Corresponds to the facilitator to actively support the group learning process as well as confirming to the Institute that the performance criteria selected by the group at the beginning of the course have been achieved by each participant.
